When was the last
time you had your hand kissed, or saw a swordfight?
Due to flooding problems, the 2004 Renaissance Faire has been cancelled.
However, there are plans for a bigger and better 2005 faire! Return here for updates and new information!
~Hear
ye, hear
ye, come one and come all. The King & Queen hath called for a
festival to be held this first weekend of June at Cedar River Park in
the Shire of Waterloo. The festival shall start at 10:00 each day with
the welcoming ceremony, then forward with 7 stages of non-stop
entertainment continuing up to the Last Huzzah at 5:30, with the Faire
ending at 6:00 each evening. There
shall be Dancers and Drummers of the Near East, daring deeds of
Swordplay and Weapons demonstrations. There shall be Comedy and Magic,
Clowns and Jugglers, Gypsies and Storytellers , plus music by traveling
Minstrels,
and the appearance of Merry Revelers of our land. There are
activities
for Children of all ages, complete with games of skill and
hands-on
art and "edu-tainment" activities. Lastly, their Majesties have decreed
that there shall be fine food, crafts, and Renaissance wares to be
enjoyed
by all. Please, come and join our "Olde World" celebration, and come
early
to spend the whole day in our Kingdom!~~
